Ingrown nail is a condition which is very noticeable and unpleasant. In this condition, the nail bends and penetrates the skin, thus causing redness, delicacy, swelling, uneasiness, bothering and even infection.
Ingrown nails can be a result of wounds, uncomfortable footwear, and genetics. However, there are a few natural remedies which can help you treat this condition. Make sure to consult your doctor and find the best solution.
Tea tree oil
This is an amazing disinfectant. Drop a few drops on the ingrown nail.
Apple cider vinegar
Add ¼ cup of ACV in warm water and place your feet in the water. Apple cider vinegar destroys contaminations when applied directly on the infected area. You can clean the area with it, but don’t forget that it cannot affect current contamination.
Epsom salt bath
Epsom salts relieve aggravation, mollify nails and purify the skin. Soak your feet in Epsom salt for about 20 minutes.
Clean your feet and then apply anti-infection cream a couple of times a day. Use a cloth to cover it so you can avert germs and diseases.
Floss and cotton ball
With the help of a floss or tweezers lift your nail a bit. Take a sterile cotton ball and place it in the void zone. Make sure it does not create any distress or agony.
